“ Came here with the family a few nights ago. Our server was awesome! She got us our waters and gave us more time to order. We ended up with two pies both halfsies. One had the margherita and the other side was vodka sauce with pepperoni. The other had half royal pizza and pepperoni! Everything was delicious and we took home leftovers after being so stuffed!! We definitely enjoyed. ”

“ I've only been eating here for 20 years, so I'm not 'the' definitive expert, considering I don't live in Staten Island anymore and Joe and Pat's has been open since 1960, but I can assure you the staff is always kind and convivial, the atmosphere is classic sit down pizzeria and the food is consistent - Every Single Time I've never had a bad pie or plate of pasta here. If you're a first timer, I recommend a large cheese or vodka pie if you prefer not to start with a sausage pie. Make sure to savor it and chew slowly, the pies are hot, fresh and delicious - you'll invariably find yourself gobbling your way through them. I'd hate to offend the owners and not recommend the calzones, seafood, the salads and heroes here and by all meals eat your way through the menu; definitely try them. After the pizza. ”
“ I was in Staten Island for a golf tournament so I needed to stop by this place because I am never in Staten Island. Dave Portnoy gave this place an 8.6, which he says you need to travel to try it. But it is hard to get motivated to drive all the way to SI, over the Verrazano for pizza. They have limited seating in the pizza side but have a bunch of tables for wait service. We say pizza side. My friend and I ordered a small pie, which is 6 medium to smallish size slices. The crust is super thin so I think we could have finished off a large pie although if we did, we would not have been able to hit Donut World (review to come) down the street. As Portnoy said, the crust is super thin and crispy! It is also pretty saucy, so if you are a cheese person, then may not be for you. Really enjoyed it! Ish there was a place like this on Long Island! PS - This review is obviously only for their pizza. I assume the 3.5 stars by other Yelpers is for the rest of their menu. POST post uodate: Initially I gave 5 stars but in reality, more like 4-4.5 stars because I would have liked a little salt in the crust. So I changed to 4 stars. ”
